Is he gone? So, who the fuck is Joe Biden? Oh! The US vice-president! So he might be an important person… Well, he is important since is Obama’s right hand. But, here in Bucharest he is like any other official. Or he should be. Even before his arrival in Bucharest the north part of the city was a mess. On Biden’s route from the airport to Kiseleff Avenue where the american ambassador residence is located the traffic was totally messed up! So many police, special troops and others, fences, blocked crossroads and so on. On NATO’s summit last year was much easier, but this days Police didn’t announced the plan. So try to imagine. For only 4 km, from Press House (one end of Kiseleff’s Avenue) to Victory Place (the other end of Kiseleff’s) it took more than 50 minutes… by car! If I would knew this before, I would choose to walk. But no! I’ve asked an officer from special troops what is going on and he said that is classified and he invited me to go. Come on! To go where? All the cars were blocked on the road. And how this can be a secret since is happening on streets?!

I’m wondering if a romanian high official is going to Washington D.C. is treated like Biden here. With traffic blocks and so on.

Cine dracu’i Biden ăsta?

A plecat? Aşadar, cine-i Joe Biden (era să-i zic bideu)? Ah, e vicepreşedintele SUA! Deci ar putea fii important… Păi chiar e, din moment ce Obama îl consideră mâna sa dreaptă. Dar aici la Bucureşti este doar un înalt oficial, ca oricare altul. Încă înainte de sosirea sa la Bucureşti traficul a fost dat peste cap. Nordul oraşului, pe traseul de la aeroport şi până pe Kiseleff unde e reşedinţa ambasadorului american a fost un balamuc total. Poliţie, jandarmi, SPP, garduri, blocade, şi de toate. Poliţia nu a anunţat nimic legat de trafic. Chiar şi la summit-ul NATO de anul trecut a fost mai uşor! Pentru 4km cât are Kiseleff de la Casa Presei până la Piaţa Victoriei mi-au trebuit cam 50 de minute. Dacă ştiam, lăsam maşina la job şi mergem pe jos! Am întrebat un SPPist de la marginea drumului ce se întâmplă şi mi-a zis că e secret şi m-a invitat să circul. Unde să circul când toate maşinile erau blocate? Şi ce secret putea fi când era pe stradă?

Mă întreb dacă vreun înalt oficial de stat de-al nostru merge la Washington primeşte acelaşi tratament ca Biden aici? Se închide traficul pentru el?

Am scris acest post şi în engleză pentru a obţine mai multe rezultate la căutările despre Biden în Google şi pentru a protesta împotriva balamucului din traficul din ultimele două zile.
